EDUCATION
Dr. Elham Mansour's Educational Journey
Dr. Elham Mansour has an impressive educational background, beginning with a License in Psychology from L'Ecole Superieure des Lettres in Beirut in 1968, and a License in Philosophy from Lebanese University in 1969. She completed her Higher Education Diploma in Philosophy at Lebanese University in 1972, followed by a PhD in Philosophy from La Sorbonne, Paris in 1975. Additionally, she earned a Diploma in English Literature from LTC School of English, London in 1977, and a Diploma in Library Management from American University of Beirut in 1978.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND ACADEMIC CONTRIBUTIONS
Dr. Mansour served as a researcher at the Research and Documentation Center in the Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 1972 to 1976. She has been a Professor of Philosophy at Lebanese University since 1977 and was the Head of the Philosophy Department from 1988 to 2000. She was also a visiting professor at the College of Philosophy in Strasbourg, France, in 1995.
Her prolific writing includes works such as "To Hiba", "Voice of the Flute or Biography of a Place", and "Towards the Liberation of Women in Lebanon", among others. Her translations and research studies on various philosophical topics have been influential in the academic community.
PUBLICATIONS AND SEMINARS
Dr. Mansour's publications cover a wide range of topics from the role of Lebanon in the Arab liberation movement to the philosophies of Amin Rihani and Machiavelli.
